Milan is one of the hottest destinations in Northern Italy, well-known for being one of the world’s fashion capitals. The city boasts lovely modern buildings, historical landmarks and plenty of entertainment. Check out a few best things to do in Milan.

1. Enjoy a city sightseeing tour

Even though it’ll never be as great as visiting all the attractions of Milan, a city sightseeing tour is one of the best ways to see all of the main sights. Just in a few hours you will see a lot of fabulous places and learn the facts and you don’t even have to move. 2. Visit the Duomo

4. Visit Piazza Mercanti

However, if you want to soak up real antique flavor of Milan, you should visit Piazza Mercanti. Built in 1228, Piazza Mercanti used to be the political and commercial center of the city and it’s reflected in the statues and buildings of the square and the surrounding streets.

5. Visit Sforza Castle

Sforza Castle is located in the heart of Milan and it’s one of the sights you must not miss. Built in the 14th century it has been modified throughout the ages. You can enjoy the architectural features of the big round towers, the defensive walls and a rounded clock, and head into one of the most impressive museums of the city – the Museum of Ancient Art.

6. Shop in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The oldest shopping mall in Italy, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is stunning glass-domed covered arcade with the walls which are elaborately painted. 7. Walk along the canals of Navigli

8. Watch football at San Siro


Everybody knows about the rivalry between two soccer clubs of Milan and even non-football fans can’t deny watching football at the San Siro Stadium. Both Milan teams AC Milan and Internazionale (Inter) share the 80,000 capacity stadium. If I went to Milan, I would definitely watch a football at San Siro!
