7. Olympic National Park, Washington State
Located west of Seattle in Washington State, Olympic National Park drew 2,824,908 visitors in 2012, making it the seventh most-visited national park. Dedicated as Olympic National Monument by in 1909 by then-President Theodore Roosevelt, Olympic National Park gained official national park recognition in 1938, when it was designated by then-President Franklin Roosevelt. Containing beaches right on the Pacific, interior rain forests and glaciers, Olympic National Park is open year round.
