1. Montreal

Can’t go to the City of Lovers – Paris? No worries! Montreal is a great destination for couples! Perhaps, it won’t immediately strike you as a perfect exotic destination, but you can discover the historic Old Quarter surrounded by late 19th-century buildings and feel like you’re in Paris. Plus, French is the official language in Montreal. You and your significant other can browse antique shops, ride bikes along the canal, walk along the waterfront and enjoy your dinner in great bistros.

2. St. Martin/St Maarten

If you are looking for secluded beaches, romantic restaurants, spas and numerous outdoor activities St. Martin/St Maarten is a great choice. The island is shared by the French and Dutch, thus it has two names. The culture of St. Martin/St Maarten is evident – Dutch to the south, French to the north. The white sand beaches are stunning, the snorkeling and diving are top-notch and the cuisine is excellent.

3. Togean Islands

Ile Royale is a great exotic destination with an exotic history. Between 1852 and 1939, Ile Royale was used as a French penal colony along with neighbors Ile Diable and Ile St. Joseph. The islands are located off the coast of French Guinea, Equatorial South America. One of the three with any tourist facilities, Ile Royale is a perfect place for couples to spend some quality time together. The small settlement has a beautiful harbor for great meals overlooking the ocean.

7. Fez

A beautiful city in Morocco, Fez has a lot to offer for couples, especially for those who want to be away from the noise of the modern city. From getting a wonderful shopping experience at the souk to strolling around the old-walled city of Medina, there are many things to do together. To really enjoy Fez, stay in a traditional Moroccan house, a Riad. This city will take you to the old world with its antiquity, allowing you to enjoy each other without the constant sounds of a modern city.

There are many spas to get both of you pampered, refreshed and energized. The cuisine of Mauritius is excellent! It is a blend of Chinese, Creole, Indian and European influences. However, it can be difficult to find halal food here. You will have to make prior arrangements with the hotel or you can find halal food in localities that have Muslim communities.
